"How do I join St. Paul United Methodist Church?"
Profession of Faith: If you have never been a member of any church, you may join by professing Jesus Christ as your savior.
Renewal of Vows: If you have been a member of a church at one time, but have been inactive, you may join by renewing your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Transfer: If you are a member of another church, you may join by requesting that your membership be transferred to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Affiliate Member: Sometimes an individual may have reason to keep his/her membership at another church, but would like to be an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. This is possible as an affiliate member.
What can I expect once I join St. Paul United Methodist Church?
Step 1 - After joining the Church, all new members are encouraged to attend a new member class which is offered 3-4 times a year, taught by pastor and covers the following topics: Church history, mission and vision Overview of various ministries and membership expectations Identifying gifts and interests and ministry placement.
Step 2 - During new member class, all new members are assigned a "First Friend. The purpose of the “First Friends” is to ensure our new member has a friend to help feel welcome and at home at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Step 3 - All members are asked to join and participate in a St. Paul United Methodist ministry based on their gifts and interests.
