• As we embrace our contemporary role as "The Soul of the Arts District", the only church in downtown Dallas rooted in African American traditions of worship, St. Paul is the sole survivor of what was, for over a century, a neighborhood of monumental black churches. The congregation that greets you today is the same community that has worshiped on this very site since its establishment by a visionary body of recently freed slaves in 1873. From its founding in a brush arbor to its current standing as the oldest community presence in what has become the Dallas Arts District, St. Paul has remained committed to the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, tithing, and Bible study. "IT IS BY GOD'S GRACE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED THROUGH FAITH"
Welcome to St. Paul United Methodist Church. We want to invite you to join us in worship on Sunday mornings, 10:45 a.m., and for bible study on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 pm, for a truly enriching and uplifting experience. You will truly be blessed.
Please know that at St. Paul you matter to us not because of who you are, where you come from, or what you have, but because you matter so much to God. God gave His very best by giving His Son, and our congregation strives to model God's commitment to people. To that end, we want to ensure that everyone knows the love of God for themselves and fulfills their God-given potential while on earth. Join us as we make the Word relevant, worship inspiring, and life meaningful. Again, we are glad you took the time to visit us, and we hope to see you soon!
